Abstract

മുഖ്യധാരാ  മാധ്യമങ്ങൾക്ക് വലിയതോതിൽ ഇടപെടൽ ഇല്ലാത്തതും  ജെസെരിയും മഹലും  പോലുള്ള പ്രാദേശിക ഭാഷാഭേദങ്ങൾ നിലനിൽക്കുന്ന  ലക്ഷദ്വീപിൽ, ഭാഷാപരമായ പരിവർത്തനത്തിന് മാത്രമല്ല, സാംസ്കാരിക സംരക്ഷണത്തിനും സ്വയം പ്രാതിനിധ്യത്തിനും വിവർത്തനം ഒരു സുപ്രധാന പ്രക്രിയയായി മാറുന്നു. ശക്തമായ വാർത്താ മാധ്യമങ്ങളുടെയും അടിസ്ഥാന റിപ്പോർട്ടിംഗിന്റെയും അഭാവത്തിൽ ലക്ഷദ്വീപിന്റെ ശബ്ദങ്ങളും കഥകളും കേൾപ്പിക്കാൻ സജീവവും പ്രാദേശികവൽക്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമായ വിവർത്തന ശ്രമം ആവശ്യമാണ്
